About JO

" Finding the right intervention for a  struggling younger child can be overwhelming for families and schools. I am dedicated to removing this uncertainty by providing professional expertise and actionable solutions to help every child succeed.

Helping struggling younger children succeed is my passion. With years of teaching and leadership experience in state and independent schools across London, Hampshire, Surrey, and West Sussex, I’ve supported all kinds of learners - from gifted children to those with Autism, Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs), or purely educational gaps.

With 15 years of firsthand experience in finding the right schools for my son with additional needs, I deeply understand the challenges families face. I also appreciate the obstacles children, parents, and schools have to go through in striving for the best outcomes, ensuring that every child receives the best education they rightfully deserve. With this experience, I am able to support you through that journey.

In 2016, I founded LEARNOUT OF THE BOX to make early intervention more accessible to younger children. In 2019 I refined my bespoke holistic academic assessment in Maths and English, KS1-KS2, to pinpoint the gaps and provide tailored teaching solutions. These early interventions build confidence, close gaps, and often reduce the need for a formal diagnoses.

Whether addressing learning struggles or advocating for children with complex needs, I work closely with families and schools to create practical, sustainable and bespoke indivudal educational plans. Every child deserves the chance to shine, and I’m dedicated to making that happen."
